The Los Angeles Times reported this week that four-term Congressman Paul Cook (R-Yucca Valley) will not seek reelection. Cook has instead decided to run for the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. Cook’s retirement, reports the Times is “the latest in a series of House Re-publican retirements as the lawmakers confront life in the minority. In all, more than a dozen GOP members have an-nounced plans to leave Congress after 2020, including several in Texas.
