Chris Bubser Wins Another Congressional Endorsement from Representative Linda Sánchez
Common Agendas of Fighting for the Working Class, Access to Health Care and Environmental Protection Secures Support for Bubser Campaign
January 13, Victorville, CA — The campaign of Chris Bubser, running to represent California’s 8th Congressional District, announced another endorsement from the California House Delegation. In a vote of confidence that this district is ripe for a Democrat to flip, Representative Linda Sánchez (CA-38) has declared her support for Bubser’s bid for Congress.
“It was an easy decision to support Chris in her race to represent California's 8th congressional district,” said Sánchez. “I know she will be an important progressive voice who will fight hard to protect working families by supporting a fair deal in trade agreements and tax policies that are good for the middle class, and protecting and promoting access to affordable healthcare for all."
“Representative Sánchez’s endorsement is so important. She is one of Congress’s shining stars when it comes to lifting up the working families of our country. The working families of California’s 8th district are who I think about when I advocate for expanding access to health care and they are who I think about when I envision bringing new clean tech jobs to the district,” said Bubser.
Sánchez joins Representatives Judy Chu (CA-27), Ted Lieu (CA-33), Raul Ruiz (CA-33), Julia Brownley (CA-26), Katie Porter (CA-45), Mike Levin (CA-49), and Gil Cisneros (CA-39) in endorsing Bubser along with the California Democratic Party. Bubser has also been receiving labor union endorsements which was a positive signal to Sanchez who is a staunch ally to working families. Sánchez is a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and Co-Chair of the Labor and Working Families Caucus.
The 8th District stretches along much of California’s eastern border, and includes parts of San Bernardino County, and all of Inyo and Mono counties. The district includes, among others, the communities of Adelanto, Apple Valley, Barstow, Big Bear, Bishop, Hesperia, Highland, Lone Pine, Mammoth Lakes, Needles, Trona, Twentynine Palms, Victorville, Yucaipa and Yucca Valley, and Joshua Tree and Death Valley National Parks.
