Bubser Calls for Timely Answers Surrounding Death of Black Man Hanging From a Tree in Victorville

June 13, Victorville, CA - In the wake of the tragic death of Mr. Malcolm Harsch, who was found hanging from a tree near Victorville City Library on the morning of May 31st, Chris Bubser, candidate for Congress in California’s 8th District, put out the following statement:

“I am sickened today to learn of the death of a person in our community, particularly a black man under such troubling circumstances. Furthermore, I am deeply concerned by the manner in which piecemeal information has begun to disseminate nearly two full weeks after Malcolm Harsch’s death.” Bubser continued, “I call on the San Bernardino County Sheriff and the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors to immediately issue a public statement and hold a news conference to address the events that have transpired in the thirteen days since Malcolm’s death and announce the next steps in their investigation. As the community shudders at this loss I am calling for timely answers.”
