Reps. Katie Hill and Gil Cisneros Jump in to Endorse Bubser Campaign
September 27, 2019, Victorville, CA - Chris Bubser has continued to rack up endorsements from members of the California House Delegation, today adding support from freshmen Democratic Representatives Katie Hill (CA-25) and Gil Cisneros (CA-39). This follows the news earlier this week that Representatives Katie Porter (CA-45) and Raul Ruiz (CA-36) are supporting Chris’s campaign to represent California’s 8th District.
Rep. Katie Hill, whose 25th district is adjacent to CA-08 said, "The communities Chris is running to represent share many of the same concerns as mine — healthcare, delivering for our veterans, climate change and housing affordability. I know Chris will be a champion on these issues and more, and I look forward to partnering with her to deliver for our communities."
“I am honored to receive Representative Hill’s endorsement,” said Chris. “I supported her campaign for Congress and see her as a role model for her commitment to putting the needs of her community front and center and consistently making herself so accessible to her constituents.”
"Chris Bubser is committed to addressing the needs of our veterans and active duty service members,” said Rep. Gil Cisneros, a former Naval Officer, as he also announced his endorsement of Bubser. “Her understanding and appreciation of climate science is critical because global warming is a national security issue. I support Chris Bubser, as her pragmatic approach to problem solving and putting California taxpayers first is sorely needed in Congress.”
Of receiving the endorsement of Rep. Cisneros, Chris said, “I admire Representative Cisneros for his service to our country and the courage he has already demonstrated in Congress by putting national security first and standing up for the healthcare and infrastructure that supports our military families and veterans.”
The 8th District stretches along much of California’s eastern border, and includes parts of San Bernardino County, and all of Inyo and Mono counties. The district includes, among others, the communities of Adelanto, Apple Valley, Barstow, Bishop, Calimesa, Hesperia, Highland, Lone Pine, Mammoth Lakes, Needles, Trona, Twentynine Palms, Victorville, Yucaipa and Yucca Valley, and Joshua Tree and Death Valley National Parks.
