BUBSER LAUNCHES FIRST TELEVISION AD OF GENERAL ELECTION
September 8, Victorville, CA -- Today, the campaign of Chris Bubser, a healthcare expert and small businesswoman, released a new television advertisement in advance of the November 3rd general election. Bubser is running against Jay Obernolte to fill the open seat for Congress in California’s 8th District.
The 30 second advertisement, titled “Powerhouse”, highlights Bubser’s 17-year-old daughter Ellie who had childhood epilepsy. Ellie tells the story about how her mom had to fight with the insurance company to cover treatment for her pre-existing condition. The ad details Bubser’s career as a healthcare expert bringing groundbreaking cancer medications to market and describes how Bubser won’t back down from challenges.
The advertisement also starkly contrasts Bubser’s platform with her opponent Jay Obernolte who is backed by the same insurance companies that sought to withhold critical treatment from Bubser’s daughter, and so many other Californians. Obernolte also voted to deny health coverage for two hundred thousand Californians with pre-existing conditions during his career in politics. Bubser made a campaign pledge never to accept donations from corporate PACs so that she can remain independent and represent the interests and needs of her constituents.
